Apologies in advance, I did not take photos of this dish!
This was pretty incredible.
There were some chicken tenderloins that needed to be cooked sitting in my refrigerator. I’m coming to the end of most of my freezer meals (I don’t pay attention to the serving sizes when I was shopping and cooking. Oops!) This chicken needed to be cooked and I didn’t want run f the mill boring chicken strips.
In my fridge lived some peeled garlic from my last Trader Joe’s trip. In my crock pot they went, along with the raw chicken strips. Because I was worried about moisture, I threw in some coconut oil, just enough to coat the chicken as it was cooking. To that I added some Tastefully Simple Onion Onion and Seasoned Salt.
Tastefully Simple spices, by the way, are a new obsession of mine. Nope, I haven’t checked the status of GMO ingredients nor have I checked for MSG or any of the other bad things that could potentially be in them. I have just found them to be delicious and game changers for every meal recently. Especially Onion Onion and Garlic Garlic.
Talk about a delicious dish! I was starving tonight, and the meal really hit the spot after work when i was looking for something Paleo and filling. When garlic cooks it gets a sweet character, which paired well with the slight saltiness of the chicken after the spices were added.
Overall, I loved this dish and can’t wait to eat it for lunch the next two days!
