Remember I told you guys the thee day about my idea for a Valentine’s Day gift for the Boyfriend? I had planned on a homemade gift using my talent for cooking. Like all of us, the Boyfriend has little time, especially on days he has all of his kiddos. I wanted to stock his freezer in a once a month cooking fashion to give him the gift of time, at least for the next couple weeks. I always make extra food, and it tends to go bad if I don’t freeze it, so if I throw another couple meals his way every so often, my Valentine’s Day surprise will be the gift that keeps on giving. Here are the results:
Looks gross but it’s chicken breasts and thighs in the crock pot for chicken noodle soup and chicken and dumplings.
The ingredients for chocolate covered strawberry two ingredient fudge.
After mixing together the two ingredients, white chocolate chips and strawberry frosting. Sorry- no photos were taken of the end result!
The ground beef, onions, garlic and Italian seasoning mix for the baked ziti.
Ricotta, Parmesan, mozzarella for the baked ziti.
The noodles and meat mixture all together in a pot. Again, no photos of the final products were taken.
The chicken noodle soup finished product.
Chicken and Dumplings were also made using the chicken, chicken stock, spices and herbs, and biscuits.
Chili was on the agenda but got pushed to later due to lack of time.
All in all, the Boyfriend received at least two weeks worth of meals that he doesn’t have to prepare himself for his kids. The gift of time for Valentines day!
