Ok, so as a single woman I have talked to/text/gone out with a few men in my single years. In recent years (even before I met the Narcissist) I have noticed a bizarre trend: men sending unsolicited photos of their man package.
What on earth is up with this? And why did I bring it up?
Just today I was texting with a guy I’m talking to. We dated many years ago and have been friends, but just recently started talking about dating again. We are having normal conversation, when up pops a text of his junk with a seductive message attached. My response? “How many times did you read ’50 Shades’ and how many girls did you send that to?”
Not going to lie, this is not the first photo I’ve received like this from a guy, and a friend of mine who is still single told me she gets them all the time! I discovered The Narcissist even sent his girlfriend pics of his chicken hanging in the butcher shop (how her hubby confirmed she was cheating with my ex.)
Do men think we are impressed? J over at Hot Holy and Humerous wrote a great post about the hardware (or software) men possess. And yes, “chicken hanging in the butcher shop” was adopted from a comment from one of her readers. Truly laugh out loud stuff right there.
Once upon a time I was a nurse in the hospital. As a nurse, you see folks disrobed all the time. I have probably seen more penises than a prostitute. Seeing one more via text message isn’t going to give me the thrill you think it is. Sorry bud.
Why has this become acceptable dating practice? I for one think it is so disrespectful. You’re trying to get to know someone, and they assume they are going to immediately lure you into their bedroom. What response did I get from asking to how many girls he had sent the text? “you’re not just some random girl I’m sending that to. Just you.”
I’m supposed to feel special? Good grief. Maybe it’s just me, but I just don’t get it.
