Hallelujah, I have made it to the end of Girl Scout Cooke Season! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve lugged in 30 boxes of cookies at a time through the doors of my job, gotten texts at bizarre hours with requests, and bugged the troop leader for several extra cases at a time. I really love my daughter.
Dancing Queen initially tasked herself (ahem, me,) to sell 500 boxes. FIVE HUNDRED BOXES. When this number was written it seemed impossible. However, we (again, I,) am getting fairly close to that goal. Pretty darn impressive!
Now I know there are crazy Girl Scout mommas out there who sell the heck out f these cookies. There are even prizes to prove that! But for the first year we have ever been involved, I’m pretty proud of the cookie-selling skills my little Junior has developed. Especially when people say “no” to the booth sales and she retorts, “they freeze well!”
Tomorrow marks the end. Am I sad? NO. I’m sad that my all-access pass to caramel delights has come to an end (Paleo inhibited me anyway, but I’m good for the occasional cheat!) Until next year, we bid the cookies adieu.
