Don’t you just LOVE sales?
Me too. And sometimes a sale isn’t quite a sale. Case in point.
Lately my milk supply has been a bit low. Apparent this is a common thing around 10+ months. Someone at work told me how great fenugreek and brewers yeast worked for her, so I ventured to GNC to purchase some.
The checkout was laden with new vitamin chews. If you’ve read any of the posts involving Paleo at all you’ll know I love coconut and cook with the oil, flakes, water, milk- any product they can extract from the coconut. Lo and behold: coconut chews that taste like caramel. Oh, and if I purchase one more item my fenugreek is half off!
My total was around $45, and I didn’t really think anything of it because I had purchased HUGE bottles of supplements. When I looked at my receipt though… The coconut chews were $24.99! That fenugreek I got for half off had been only twelve bucks. So I spent $24.99 to save six.
Seriously. I know I should have asked. There was zero pricing near or around the coconut chews. But that burns me up!
Moral: check prices. Don’t just jump on sales. And don’t open a package and eat something befits you check the receipt.
Chalk it up to a learning experience for $24.99 plus tax.
