“Sometimes you have to stand alone to prove you can still stand.”
That was a “being single” quote that I found right before writing this post.
The online dating thing has not been at all fruitful. In fact, I cannot find one man I would want to go with out in public. Not one. Which means one of two things- I’m way too picky and have too high of expectations, or these men online are truely the undateable and I am actually scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Speaking of picky and high expectations…I am wondering what types of expectations these men when they are fishing online for a date. One man had a tagline that stated, “If you’re not a 10, you better be a 9.5.” I’m not sure who this man thought he was. His photos certainly did not point to the fact that HE was a 9.5 or a 10, did not seem to have an occupation that would indicate he was extremely wealthy, and according to his profile, did not sound kind or nice in any way.
It almost seems like everyone is always looking for the next best thing. Whatever happened to people falling in love, being content with what they have? Why do people feel that they are “settling” when they find a nice person who wants to spend time with them? I really cannot say these are things I don’t do, because I am guilty as the next, and I am really not sure why.
