Last night while Dancing Queen was dancing, Boo Boo Bear and I shopped. One of my goals right now is home organization for less, mainly to make my next move easier. I found the mother load of organization containers at a Dollar Tree I don’t usually frequent.
Do you know how much the rubbermaid containers are for shoes? Five to seven bucks a pop at a store like Wal-Mart or Target. Yesterday- a dollar each at dollar tree! Mind you, they are NOT Rubbermaid brand, but they will suffice for my shoes! I purchased several of these, along with the fold up clear plastic drawer organizers, and containers for bath toys, cleaners, even bookshelves! In addition I was able to buy some bleach and vinegar, and some other needed cleaning items. Overall I spent $39 and some change for items I would have bought at a super center for five to seven times the cost.
Something else I’m doing that is a bit crazy considering I hardly have time to wash my hair anymore- making “attractive” moving boxes. Currently I have TONS of girl scout cookie cases. Great, sturdy boxes. I also have contact paper that I only used a small portion of because I got so frustrated trying to put it inside cabinets. (Not an easy task!)
My idea is to cover about four of the boxes with contact paper to make slightly more attractive boxes that will look ok sitting in the bottom of my closets until we are ready to pick them up and move away. I might be taking this organization thing way too far, but I want to know what I have when I’m ready to move (which was yesterday!)
What did we eat in celebration of our dollar tree finds? A lovely Paleo meal of eggplant fries (baked with oil and sea salt) and “Manwich” made from burger, tomato paste, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Fantastic!
