I found this list of New Years Resolutions on most-popular-new-years-resolutions-for-2013-revealed.html”>Digital Spy of 40 of the most popular resolutions of 2013. Were any of these on your list? Did you accomplish your goals?
Read more books
I’m a big reader and personally recommend reading Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged. It’s my favorite.
Save more money
This one topped my list but I did not save any, rather, I took care of a lot of things financially. My last long term relationship destroyed me financially so 2013 was the year I cleaned up that mess and got back to a place where I could begin rebuilding. Word of advice to all women out there: do not mix finances with someone you don’t think you can trust or shows early signs they will financially drain you.
This one is laughable in my world. After I stopped nursing my now eighteen month old son the pounds began to pack on. Every day I strive to do better with eating, exercising, sleeping, but to no avail yet. Changing my habits slowly. A major wake up call t me however today- my cholesterol is up! As well as my triglycerides! I’m only 32! This has to change ASAP.
I moved in 2013, so you could say I redecorated.
Take better photos
This is a good one for every blogger.
Plan on doing a little more of this next year and beyond. I want to go to Rockland, Maine for LobsterFest, Disney, a couple cruises, and Key West this year.
Sell old unwanted stuff on eBay
Giving unwanted clutter away was the way for me to go this year. Selling on eBay is a hassle in my world, I try to give to the less fortunate when I can.
Buy a tablet
Check! Love my iPad. I’m an Apple girl for sure!
On my never ending list of things to do.
Do something for charity
Did not make my list this year or next as a resolution but maybe soon.
Spend more time with kids
I wish I could spend more time with my precious kiddos. The guilt of a working momma.
Buy a Sunday paper
Not sure why this made the top 40 list. I buy one about every week. Coupons everyone, coupons!
Less TV time
I’ve gotten into the habit of watching too much. This will be on my list. Working out should triumph this every day.
Connect my computer to my TV
This would be good. In 2012 I set up my wifi, which was quite the accomplishment in my world. Tech savvy I am not!
Leave work on time more often
This one is not in the realm of possibility!
Less time on Facebook
Everyone could benefit from this one. I try to only check it once a day while I’m cooking or doing something where I can multi-task.
Totally revamp my wardrobe
Check! This girl will be thriftiness all year, so stay tuned for great consignment and thrift store finds!
Try a new hairstyle
I will forever be a fan of the Rachel cut from the ’90’s. Not Changing.
Get a six-pack
Of what? No, I know it means to work out more. I plan to be able to see my abs again soon.
Eat less chocolate
I vow to eat more dark chocolate for health in 2014!
Socialize more in real life rather than Facebook
Not a real problem here, but I could call my relatives a bit more than I comment on their photos.
Drink less alcohol
Not really an issue, but if you have a problem, there are programs that can help.
Buy less coffee from Starbucks/big chains
I love coffee from McDonalds. I could use fewer mornings purchasing coffee.
Start my own business
Tell someone I have feelings for them
Let it all out! Don’t waste another day! Carpe Diem in 2014.
Everyone can benefit from quitting! You’ll save money and your health.
Gain a promotion
Always strive for more at work.
Learn how to use Twitter
This is an ever changing medium and is a learning process every day.
Run a half or full marathon
On my list of things to do this year along with my Whole30 challenge.
Call people more than text
Cut someone out of my life who isn’t good for me
I have had to do this, and although it sounds terrible, it can set you free.
Meet online contacts in real life
Would love to do this!
Watch less reality TV
Not a problem here- who cares about reality TV “stars!”
Text people less
Try to save relationship
My relationship with my mother is slightly strained. I could utilize this one.
Try extreme sports
Does going back to crossfit count?
Get better at social networking
Always a goal.
Stop contacting/going back to an ex-partner
This comes back to cutting someone out of your life.
Have a face-to-face with my boss to find out where I stand
We have to do this every year. So if we are making goals just to goal set, I can add this one.
Do a bungee jump
No. Just no.
What tops your list of resolutions?
