What a week it has been! This is the first time I have sat down all week with an uninterrupted chance to blog. This blog post is not a how to or a recipe or anything like that, just me sharing a little bit with you all.
This week has been crazy! From 5 AM Monday morning until now crazy is just the only way to describe this week. The main craziness this week was a health issue that started on Tuesday with my husband. My husband is not one to go to the doctor unless forced. By Wednesday I didn’t have to do much forcing. He was in so much pain he readily consented to me taking him to the Emergency Room.
The ER visit ended with a referral to a surgeon later in the day. Thankfully surgery wasn’t necessary at the time. We are hoping the issue can be corrected without surgery.
The reason I titled this post Perfect Timing is because our health insurance just started this past Saturday. Neither of us have had insurance in the past couple of years so we were very thankful that I have a job now that offers excellent benefits, especially after this ER visit. The truth is the only reason our benefits started last weekend was due to a clerical error, but thank God someone made a mistake! I just started a new job in March and had to wait 90 days before insurance began. That 90 days was up June 1 which really meant my insurance shouldn’t have kicked in until July 1st. But thank God for clerical errors! We are feeling very blessed to have health insurance and not be shouldered with huge medical bills.
