Hello Friends! Happy Thursday. We are more than halfway to the weekend!
Yesterday, being Wednesday, I needed a mid-week pick me up. Wednesday’s are particularly hard for me because I have to work late and usually feel exhausted because, I’m not used to working those hours. Since I have a big sweet tooth and I’m trying my hardest to remain true to this lifestyle, I made a quick treat.
This was sort of made up from the Paleo chocolate chip cookies I made last week. (I cannot wait to make those again this weekend!) Almond butter is a great, quick filler, and honey is a natural sweetener. Banana chips are full of sugar, as is most dried fruit, but I felt ok since it wasn’t like I was eating a cheesecake or anything. I mixed up a couple tablespoons of almond butter with a couple teaspoons of honey, and dipped banana chips in it! A tasty quick treat to curb my sweet tooth and make me feel satisfied without feeling like I was killing my diet for the day.
And by the way, I’m 4.5 pounds down since beginning my Paleo challenge about three weeks ago!
