Saturday’s are a day of shopping nearly every week. Since food issuch a focus in my household, our shopping and prep for the week is paramount!
Today I am purchasing:
Brocolli for a Paleo casserole (I got a great deal on Amazon for an eleven piece Pyrex set for 19.99. Anxious to use my casserole dish!)
Sausage and sweet potatoes for a breakfast casserole in the crock pot. This is a go to recipe for me. Love it!
Carrots, parsnips, pears, bananas, apples, butternut squash for soup and baby food.
Ginger and garlic
Grapes and oranges
Beef, chicken, bacon
The goal this weekend is to cook two crockpot meals, make taco meat (homemade taco seasoning- no MSG in my house!) the Brookline casserole, ad maybe an egg quiche with onions I need to use up, red peppers, garlic, and spinach. Just a thought.
Last week I did a pretty good job with the food waste. I totally forgot to post my food waste on Friday but I’ll get to it later. Being conscious of not wasting made it easier not to do it.
Looking forward to start cooking this evening! This morning I did a chocolate cookie fail- at least now I know what not to do! They were almond butter, soy free chocolate, two eggs, honey, cinnamon, and baking powder. Something was missing but I wasn’t sure…I’ll be scouring some Paleo cookie recipes later to find out what the missing piece happened to be. Once I get the recipe correct I will share!
