Day two of 100% Paleo for Lent has been a success…although when we had a luncheon at work the meat was probably prepared in non-Paleo marinade. Other than that… OK- I had a diet Mt Dew! Ugh! I was desperate for caffeine. Maybe today was a fail- at least one meal.
Getting away from that tasty toxin is hard! My vice is diet dew. Please don’t judge, you hard core Paleo followers. We all have moments of weakness. A small victory though: We had MULTIPLE desserts to choose from at work. Chocolate covered strawberries, red velvet brownie whoopie pies, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter fudge… But I didn’t touch any of it! (This lady I work with makes THE BEST peanut butter fudge I’ve ever had. That was difficult to walk away from!)
Tomorrow I’m planning the banana omelette again for breaky (breakfast in my daughter’s world.) For lunch chicken, chicken, and chicken with a side of a veggie, and for dinner whatever I can put together really quickly. I KNOW. It is Lent. Abstaining from meat on Fridays is an obligation. However…I am nursing… So I will have to figure out another penance instead.
