Paleo living is going very well. I have been able to resist temptation on many occasions and stick with it. Today my Paleo muffins were a nice treat, as well as fruit and my sweet potato and egg casserole. I can’t wait to eat some of the steak and veggie meal that I made in the crock pot yesterday. This girl is ready for some red meat.
One thing this diet does us make you hyper vigilant of your body’s need for food. When you’re eating to live and not living to eat, you more readily notice your body’s cues of hunger, and can learn what foods will fill you up faster and for longer. Or, when your body needs a quick pick me up of carbs paired with a high protein filler. This is one of the many benefits of eating “real” foods.
Tomorrow I know there needs to be more in my lunchbox than today. I got very hungry a couple hours after lunch and was very tempted to stop on the way home to get something probably not Paleo-friendly. (Those bake goods The Mrs write about sounded oh so delicious!) I stayed true to my commitment, and am getting ready to chow down on some primal style dinner. A Paleo desert will follow! Whatever I come up with for the dessert, I’ll post!
