Oprah Winfrey’s Favorite Things filming was a much coveted ticket to hold. In fact, it is storied that Tom Cruise, a dear friend of hers, could not even obtain a ticket for his mother. The tickets were given to the studio audience and no one knew when the show was to be filmed.
I am not of “O”caliber but I think I have pretty stinking good taste. I thought I would share some of my favorite things.
Mary Kay Cosmetics. Now, I’m what my stylist calls a “product whore.” Any new product in his salon is in my hot little hands before he can even begin working on me. Saying that, I have tried it all. Although I love MAC colors (and finishing spray- and MK just came out with a finishing spray!) I think MK colors are better. I’ve used Stila, Urban Decay, Dior…nothing compares to Mary Kay. And the facial cleansers ad moisturizers. LOVE. I recently began using my Timewise cleansers and moisturizers again- I can feel a difference in my face after just a week. I love everything they make, and I believe in the product.
A facial product I love that is not MK is Vasanti Brighten Up. Wow. It cleanses and exfoliates like no other exfoliater I have ever tried. You can only use this about three days a week though. It is amazing.
Hair products: y’all know I’m cheap. I’ve pledged my allegiance to Sally Beauty supply before for their Argan Oil products. There is nothing better out there for my hair. They are amazing.
My favorite perfume is Stella by Stella McCartney. And bath products are Philosophy hands down.
This brings me to baby products. Mustela is my absolute favorite. Love the smell and the way it makes my baby’s skin smell. Just divine.
Clothing: I love my Lilly Pulitzer. And Ralph Lauren. And Burberry. And I found all of them at Clothes Mentor this weekend. (Yes. Burberry.) Those are my big three favorites. Pants that fit my frame well are Ann Taylor. Almost no other pants fit my body.
Shoes: anything comfortable. Love my Sperry’s and flip flops. My rule: flip flops are ok unless there is two inches of snow on the ground. Then feet must be covered.
Kitchen products: Going to have to confess here, I love supporting people with their own businesses. Pampered chef makes up my kitchen (a piece here an there added over the last ten years) and Tastefully Simple products are great for entertaining my non-Paleo guests. Good stuff.
Just felt like sharing today some of the things I love. What are some of your favorite things?
