DietBet Wrap Up
This past month, April and I teamed up with two other bloggers, Kristin from Exploring Domesticity and Wendy from A Daily Dose of Del Signore to host a DietBet. The Lose Your Booty DietBet ended this past week.
We had a total of 29 participants and the pot was $725. Our DietBet participants lost a total of 197.4 pounds!
Personally I lost a total of 11.8 pounds during this 4 week challenge. I was very pleased with myself.
How did I do it?
1. I documented everything that I ate or drank. I was using the MyFitnessPal app but recently switched to the Lose It app and so far I like it a little better.
2. Increased my water intake.
3. Cut out fast food & drive thrus. Only 1 time during the DietBet did I eat something from a fast food restaurant.
4. Avoided the cafeteria and vending machines. I tried to plan ahead and pack my lunch and snacks to take to work with me each day. There were a few times I did eat in the cafeteria but when I did I tried to make healthier choices. I work in a hospital and the cafeteria always has one food bar with healthier options as well as a salad bar.
