When you author a blog, you get the luxury of seeing what folks googled that brought them to your page. I’ve seen this one recently- several times. Welcome to the club!
I have a sweet tooth, and I’m still losing weight! How? Because after a whole, your body will actually LIKE not having processed sweet foods dumped into it!
Natural sugars will soon be enough. Fruits will curve the craving for complex carbohydrates. Dark chocolate will serve a purpose in your life. Start slow. In Loren Cordain’s book The Paleo Diet, it instructs the reader to follow a plan to convert to Paleo slowly. One Paleo meal a day, then two, then snacks, et cetera. Or you can rip the band-aid and jump in he’s first like I did. Now, I have been a big cheater. Mostly with sweets! So my desire to eat desserts has not completely gone away. However, the majority of these cheats have been with the lifestyle in mind. Almond butter based cookies, coconut flour based pancakes, things like that. Not gonna lie, tonight I ate some ice cream out at a restaurant. I’m not following the diet to a “T” yet, but I’m getting better week by week.
If big changes are made suddenly, they won’t be changes at all. You’ll give up because one cheat becomes two, becomes three, and suddenly the whole day is a bust. One meal at a time.
Google sweet Paleo recipes. Paleo desserts. Check out some of the Paleo sites I discuss in some of my posts. Even if you have a “sweet tooth,” Paleo can be a reality for you. Will power my friends.
