I am the worlds worst at removing the cork from a bottle of wine. Especially when my good corkscrew has disappeared! Most of the time I end up with pieces of the cork floating in the bottle of wine.
This dilemma led me on a Google search to find a way to remove the pieces of cork. When I found the solution to my little problem I was shaking my head saying “why didn’t I think of that”!
Simply place a coffee filter in the top of your wine glass. As you pour the wine in, the filter acts as….well….a filter, by catching the pieces of the cork and separating them from the wine in your glass.
Now I bet you’re shaking your head saying “why didn’t I think of that!”
