This Stromboli recipe is so simple and easy. It’s great for a quick weeknight dinner and can be made with so many different ingredients to suit your tastebuds.
Refrigerated, Canned Pizza Crust
Pizza Sauce or Spaghetti Sauce
Cheese–I used mozzarella and Parmesan.
Toppings–I used salami and pepperoni but you could easily use veggies or other toppings that you have on hand.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Grease a cookie sheet or baking pan.
Unroll canned pizza dough onto cookie sheet. Using your hands, spread dough out to the edges of the pan.
Spoon pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce onto dough. I happened to have an opened jar of spaghetti sauce in the refrigerator so I used that instead of pizza sauce.
Add your toppings. For this Stromboli I used salami and pepperoni but you could add any toppings that you want.
Add cheese. You can even layer cheese in between your other toppings. I put down a layer of pepperoni and then mozzarella cheese and then salami. On top of the salami I sprinkled some Parmesan cheese.
Carefully take one side of the dough and fold it over the toppings. Fold the other side of dough over, pressing the seams together.
Brush the top with garlic butter or olive oil and garlic.
Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly, slice and enjoy!
