I love using my bread machine to make loaves of bread but recently I used it to make pizza dough. Did you know you can make dough with your bread machine without baking it? It’s true! You just dump your ingredients in to the bread machine (make sure the paddle is in the bowl…I learned that the hard way) and it does all the work for you.
Follow the directions that came with your bread machine for the order to put your ingredients in the bowl.
1 – 1/2 Cups water
1 – 1/2 Tablespoons olive oil
3 – 3/4 Cups bread flour
1 – 1/2 Tablespoons sugar
1 – 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 – 1/2 teaspoons active bread yeast
1. Add the ingredients to the bread machine.
2. Use the dough setting on your bread machine….and walk away.
3. Once the dough is done remove it from the bread machine.
Now’s the fun part.
We used the dough to make individual pizza’s. Everyone in my house likes different toppings on their pizza so this allowed everyone the opportunity to make their own pizza.
To make mini pizza’s I pinched off a ball of dough, abut the size of a baseball. Roll the dough out and stretch it to make the pizzas.
Top the pizza dough with your choice of sauce, toppings, and cheese.
While you are creating the pizza’s preheat your oven and pan to 425 degrees. We used a pizza stone but if you don’t have one any pizza pan or cookie sheet will work.
Once the pizza’s are ready for the oven, transfer them to the pizza pan.
Bake for 8-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
Remove from oven and enjoy!
You can also use the dough to make breadsticks. I brushed olive oil on the dough and sprinkled garlic and parmesan cheese on the breadsticks before baking until golden brown.
