I am all about saving money but sometimes the least expensive option is not always the most cost effective. Recently I learned that first hand when it came to the gas in my car.
There is a locally owned gas station that has been running some crazy cheap gas sales lately. I’m talking like. 30¢ or more in price differences between their price and other gas stations. So the frugal gal in me says “go there and get your gas”.
Last week I went there and filled up my gas tank. I have noticed this week that I am not getting as good of gas mileage as I normally do. The majority of my driving is to and from work which is mostly interstate travel. Normally I get about 28 miles to the gallon. Tonight I checked my mileage and I’m only getting 23 miles per gallon!
I have learned my lesson! It is not always best to purchase the least expensive option, whether its gas, food, cleaning products or anything!
Cheaper is not always better!
