My thrifty shopping ways brought me face to face with a pair of Burberry pants yesterday. Clothes Mentor has become a favorite shopping hot spot of mine recently due to the uber designer deals. This place is a treasure trove, simply because people “in these parts” either don’t know what they have when they get it as a gift or just don’t care. I’ve found Louis Vuitton, Burberry, endless amounts of Lilly Pulitzer, Trina Turk, Juicy Couture, the brands go on and on and on. I’m constantly surprised at what I find there and my closet is ever-changing for pennies on the dollar.
I had been in search of the traditional tan, black and red pattern Burberry pants. I found them…in my size…for a great deal (in relation to how much they actually are in retail stores.)
These pant fit like a dream, and I will be rocking them next fall with knee height riding boots and an oversized black sweater.
Prior to this amazing shopping experience I had breakfast with a friend. He is perhaps the nicest most gentlemanly-type guy I’ve ever met and has been cooking in his local firehouse for many many years.
What did he invite me over to try? His version of a Breakfast Kentucky Hot Brown.
This readers, was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Quite amazing, and not in the least bit Paleo. It was a heart attack on a plate but so worth it!
No recipe, because I want to protect his “secret,” but I wanted to brag a bit. Maybe a Paleo version to come after I play in my “test kitchen” a bit!
