In the past few months I’ve taken the steps towards divorce, moved in with my parents, taken on new responsibilities and an increase of hours at work, enrolled in classes to further my education, and buried my grandmother. Needless to say my less has been stressful. Without knowing how to deal with stress I would have been crazy!
Stress that is unchecked can effect more than just your mind and emotions. It can effect many body systems and contribute to many health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, diabetes, insomnia, infertility, irregular menstrual cycles, and digestive issues. Knowing how to deal with stress is so important. When I am stressed there are a few things that I do to relax. I tend to bake, cook, read, spend time with friends, or clean. I know it sounds weird that cleaning is a stress reliever but try taking out your frustration on that bathtub scum, I promise it’s a stress reliever!
