We all have certain tools and gadgets we use around our house that we love. Today I’m sharing with you my 10 favorite kitchen tools that you will want to have in your kitchen. If I could only choose to have 10 kitchen tools these are the 10 I would definitely want to have in my kitchen.
10 Essential Kitchen Tools
There is no easier way to chop onions without the tears than with a chopper like this one. I love the fact that this particular chopper has different attachments which allow you 11 different ways to cut. I use my chopper to cut onions, potatoes, peppers, even sliced deli meat and cheese.
I love this set of spatulas! So many other spatula sets that I’ve owned before are hard to use when you need to reach inside of a jar. The shape and design of these spatulas make it easy to scoop out the contents of a jar or can.
I bought this Ninja Storm after my mother in law recommended it. I have had other food processors in the past but they were so complicated to use and had so many parts that you had to keep track of. I usually ended up using the food processor a couple of times and then it sat in my cabinet until I had a yard sale and sold it to someone else. I love the fact that this Ninja only has 4 pieces and it’s so easy to use. You can mince, dice, chop, and pulverize fruits and vegetables, make smoothies and shakes, grind meat, crush ice and churn ice cream!
If you don’t have a pressure cooker you need to get one! I did not realize how much you can do with a pressure cooker until I received one as a gift. With a pressure cooker you can tenderize normally tough cuts of meat. You can also prepare other cuts of meat and vegetables in your pressure cooker.
Even with all the other kitchen tools that dice, chop, and cut you still need a good knife set. I like this particular set from Cuisinart. It’s a 12 piece set that includes every knife you will need for basic food preparation.
No one wants to eat undercooked meat! A good instant read thermometer is essential to preparing so many dishes.
With my busy schedule I couldn’t survive without my crockpot. I love this programmable crockpot. It’s so easy to put your dinner in, set it and forget it! When you come home from work your dinner is ready!
Every cook needs a good set of wooden spoons, especially so that you don’t scrape and scratch your cookware!
I’m sure when we all started out on our own we had a cheap set of cookware or maybe it was a bunch of different pots and pans that we inherited or picked up at thrift stores. It’s time to invest in a good set of cookware. Now whether you choose non-stick, cast iron, copper, or ceramic is your own preference. Every cook prefers something different. Whatever you choose, invest in a good set of cookware for your kitchen.
I can’t even begin to tell you how many hand mixers I burnt up before I invested in my Kitchenaid stand mixer. My mixer has a premium spot on my kitchen counter and I use it for so many different things. Not only do I use it when mixing cakes or bread dough but I also use it to shred chicken, beef, and pork.
